Taking Root Conference 2022

Taking Root Conference 2022

The VINIA Taking Root Conference

Are you tired of leadership and feeling like you don’t quite know how to move forward? Has ministry momentum been hard to get back post-COVID, especially with unknown challenges ahead? Are you questioning if the way you always did things before won’t work anymore – while not knowing yet what will work in this new season?

We get it! We all want to feel connected, encouraged, and have direction. We’re going through the same challenges—and we’re going through them together. We see the future with eyes of faith and care about the things you are facing—and we desire to come alongside you in the midst of them.

Receive the hope, clarity, and direction you need to move forward, more rooted in the Vine. You’ll deepen your connection with God and others. And you’ll discover how to lead with greater internal clarity and confidence. (In fact, we guarantee these two days will give you hope—or we’ll personally refund your registration. That’s right! If you fully participate in our Vinia Conference and you don’t leave with hope, clarity, and direction, just let us know and we will give you your money back.)

Don’t pass up the opportunity to come to the two-day Taking Root Conference. We are so excited to see you!

Speakers

Tod Bolsinger

Tod serves as associate professor of leadership formation and senior fellow for the De Pree Center for Leadership at Fuller Seminary. His books include Canoeing the Mountains, the Outreach Magazine Resource of the Year in Pastoral Leadership; and It Takes a Church to Raise a Christian, a Christianity Today Award of Merit recipient.

A frequent speaker, consultant, and blogger, Tod serves as an executive coach for corporate, nonprofit, educational, and church organizations in transformational leadership. For seventeen years, he was the senior pastor of San Clemente Presbyterian Church in San Clemente, California, after serving for ten years at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. Tod and his wife, Beth, have two children.

Karl Vaters

Karl Vaters is the author of four books, and he produces resources for Helping Small Churches Thrive at KarlVaters.com.

His heart is to help pastors of small churches (up to 90 percent of us) find the resources to lead well, and to capitalize on the unique advantages that come with pastoring a small church – something virtually every pastor will spend at least some of their ministry years doing. He also believes that big and small churches can and should work together more often – to the benefit and blessing of everyone.

Karl hosts the podcast, Can This Work In a Small Church? in which he and his guests talks about universal church leadership issues, then dig deeper into how those issues look different when we approach them from a small church context.

Karl has been in pastoral ministry for over 40 years. He is the teaching pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, a healthy small church in Orange County, California, where he has ministered for almost 30 years with his wife, Shelley. They have three children and two grandkids.

What makes this conference different?

This is a conference where you’ll leave with fresh wind in your sails, with new insights and action steps, and feeling more connected than ever to the Vinia family.

Our goal is to give you hope, clarity and direction over the two days of the conference – because we get that as pastors, leaders, and volunteers, those things can be hard to come by. Our greatest desire is to support you in this way.

So come! Come to the Taking Root Conference! Register today, mark the dates on your calender, and show up. You could even bring someone else with you!
